WE CAN HELP.

Keeping you safe online

Our service is low cost at £4 per user per month yet still protects against the most common internet threats such as malware, fraud and phishing.

The Community SOC is a talented team of neuro-diverse cyber security professionals whose main aim is to ensure our customer’s online safety whilst disturbing them as little as possible. A customer knowledge base containing reading material that aid our customer’s awareness.

What is protect home?

Protect Home is an innovative product created by the IASME Community SOC (Security operations centre) Team that fulfils a niche in the cyber security market. The aim of our service is to provide charities and non-profits who care for vulnerable internet users with a way to ensure that they are protected at all times when carrying out their day to day internet activities.

What are the goals of our service?

1. Protect Home will provide affordable cyber security measures to home users who need it most.

2. Protect Home will provide protection from most common internet security threats, such as malware, phishing and fraud.

3. Protect Home is extremely easy to join and use, requiring little technical skill from the user.

How does it work

When a customer signs up to the service, the Community SOC will provide access to the support portal and security software as well as guidance on how to install. The Community SOC monitors the security software to ensure that it is working correctly and to look for any security threats found by the software. Where it is possible to automatically block or remove threats this will be done without customer intervention.

The Community SOC will be able to offer the customer advice. If the customer comes across a problem themselves then they are able to raise a ticket request on the customer help desk. This will then be seen by a member of the SOC team and the customer will get updates of the issue’s progress. For issues that require a bigger fix, our customers are able to consent for members of our team to access their device remotely to be able to provide the help necessary to allow them to carry on with their activities.

The software

Our services uses Avast Business, a leading security software suite that is installed onto the customer’s device and has the following components configured:

Firewall to restrict access to the customer’s device.

Anti-Virus to prevent malicious software from running.

Secure web gateway to prevent access to dangerous websites.

Optional VPN to allow our customers to connect securely to public networks.

patch management

For an additional cost, we are able to add a software component on to the user’s device that manages updates to commonly used software packages to ensure that they are kept up to date. Keeping software up to date is an important measure our customers could take to reduce the possibility of attack against their device.
