Celebrating One Year of Defence Cyber Certification

May 8, 2026 | DCC

Today, UK Defence marks the first anniversary of the Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) scheme – a milestone in strengthening the cyber resilience of UK businesses and the defence supply chain.

DCC is an organisation-wide cyber security certification designed to provide trusted assurance of a supplier’s cyber resilience. Over the past year, the scheme has gained significant momentum, helping organisations of all sizes demonstrate good cyber security practices and contribute to a more resilient defence ecosystem.

At IASME, we are proud to play a key role in delivering DCC through our nationwide network of Certification Bodies. The scheme builds on the trusted foundations of Cyber Essentials, combining technical controls with governance, risk, and resilience measures to create a comprehensive approach to cyber security.

Whether your organisation is actively engaged in defence contracts or simply looking to proactively demonstrate cyber resilience, DCC offers a flexible certification pathway with levels tailored to your risk and maturity.
