All Certification Bodies will also need to meet both security and quality requirements. They can do this by holding one of the following security qualifications:

• Achieving UKAS accredited ISO 27001 certification
• Achieving IASME Cyber Assurance Level 1 and Level 2 certifications

And they will need one of these quality certifications:

• Achieving UKAS accredited ISO 9001 certification
• Achieving the IASME Cyber Assurance Quality Principles alongside part of a successful IASME Cyber Assurance Level 1 and Level 2 certifications
• Achieving a QG Quality Fundamentals+ certification

The Certification Body will also need to hold and maintain whatever certifications they are delivering.

In order to become an assessor for Maritime Cyber Baseline, you must:

1. Pass the Assessor Skills Exam
2. Hold a current certification in the security of Operational Technology (OT) environments.
3. Be able to demonstrate suitable experience of working on cyber security in a maritime environment to the satisfaction of IASME. And;
4. Hold one of the following qualifications:


• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
• ISACA – Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• ICS2 Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP)
• NCSC CCP - SIRA or IA Auditor - Senior Practitioner
