The Cyber Essentials and Cyber Advisor Executive Summary for 2023/2024 is now available.
Our annual review shows the Cyber Essentials scheme continues to grow, with a 23% increase in certification from last year and Certification Body numbers swelling to 341. Support for applicants has also been boosted with the development of the Cyber Essentials Knowledge Hub and the success of the Cyber Advisor scheme.
The Funded Cyber Essentials Programme supported 311 small and vulnerable organisations in specified sectors to put cyber controls in place and achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification at no cost.
The review also holds some compelling testaments to the efficacy of Cyber Essentials, revealing that 92% fewer insurance claims were made by organisation with Cyber Essentials controls in place. Additionally, St James’s Place, who mandate Cyber Essentials Plus across their Partnership network, report “around 80% reduction in cyber security incidents which directly correlates to controls and best practise implemented through Cyber Essentials Plus”.
