What is a Certification Body?

IASME Certification Bodies are companies that are authorised to offer assessment to our cyber security schemes such as Maritime Cyber Baseline and issue certifications.

IASME train and license specialist maritime cyber security professionals to assess against the Maritime Cyber Baseline requirements. Once an Assessor has successfully completed the training, gained the relevant certification and passed the exam/assessments, the company they work for can become a Certification Body. All Assessors need to work for a Certification Body to be able to carry out assessments.
