What is a Certification Body or CB?

IASME Certification Bodies or CBs, are specially trained cyber security companies located all across the UK and Crown Dependencies. They are licensed and assured by IASME to offer assessment and certification to cyber security standards such as Cyber Essentials and Defence Cyber Certification.

All Certification Bodies have to show they meet both security and quality requirements as well as holding certifications themself, for the schemes they deliver.

An IASME Assessor is a trained and qualified cyber security professional that assesses cyber security standards. All DCC Assessors work for a Certification Body and have attended and passed the training and assessment for each DCC Level that they deliver.

Organisations wishing to certify to Defence Cyber Certification can search for a CB, qualified to assess at a level equal to or higher than their required level.
