Charity Cyber Essentials Awareness Month

What is Charity Cyber Essentials Awareness Month and how can you get involved?

IASME is working closely with the NCSC to educate charities about the cyber threat they face and inform them about the benefits of Cyber Essentials.

Throughout October, IASME will be working in partnership with selected Certification Bodies across the UK and Crown Dependencies. We will be offering free support and guidance to help charities prepare for Cyber Essentials and a discount to the price of certification.

You can also get involved as a supporter of the campaign, promoting the discount to charities via your own audience and channels with our Charity Cyber Essentials Awareness Month supporters pack.

Need extra help getting started?

If you need help getting started on your Cyber Essentials journey, we have a combination of resources that can help you get certified depending on where you are in the process.

The Cyber Essentials Readiness Tool is a free, online tool accessible in the form of a set of interactive questions on the IASME website. The process of working through the questions will inform you about your charity’s level of cyber security and what aspects you need to focus on. Based on your answers, you will be directed towards guidance written in plain English and at the end of the process, be presented with a tailored action plan and detailed guidance for your next steps towards certification.

The Cyber Essentials Knowledge Hub is a central source of trusted, up-to-date information about the Cyber Essentials scheme. Search or browse our guidance for charities and find reliable information to help answer your questions and guide you through the Cyber Essentials certification process.

You will find information about tech and cyber basics, scoping your assessment, the five controls, software support periods, sector specific guidance, and scheme updates.
