The Ministry of Defence (MOD) and IASME are pleased to announce creation of the Defence Cyber Certification (DCC), a comprehensive cyber security certification framework for UK Defence suppliers.
We at IASME will work with our large, established, network of assured Certification Bodies to oversee and deliver the DCC scheme.
The scheme aims to strengthen the cyber resilience of UK’s Defence supply chain, introducing a comprehensive cyber security framework for defence suppliers, enhancing the security, resilience, and future prosperity of the UK.
The DCC scheme aligns with the UK’s broader cyber strategy, emphasising a ‘whole of society’ effort towards enhancing national cyber resilience, and reinforces the requirement for appropriate adoption of Cyber Essentials at its core.
Successfully obtaining and maintaining certification under the DCC scheme is a clear demonstration of an organisation’s ongoing commitment to cyber resilience in support of continued improvement to cyber resilience in UK Defence.
The DCC further underscores the MOD’s commitment to ensuring the UK’s defence supply chain remains secure, resilient, and prepared to face the challenges of an increasingly complex threat landscape.
