IASME are delighted to announce that they are working with the Department of Work and Pensions to become a Kickstart Gateway. This government funded scheme will provide a 6 months high quality, paid work placement, for young people at the highest risk of long-term unemployment. IASME has successfully launched as a Gateway with 45 placements funded across 15 companies and applications for more placements across other companies are already in the pipeline.
In addition to the employment, each participant will receive cyber security training and help with CV writing skills, to further build their confidence and readiness for the workplace.
As experts in cyber security certification, IASME are well placed to provide this extensive cyber security training package that will improve the chance of these young people going on to find long-term, sustainable work in the future.
“IASME are pleased to confirm that the DWP has approved the first grant submission as a Kickstart gateway which will enable 45 young people currently on Universal Credit to move into paid employment for at least 6 months. Hopefully, many more placements will be approved as the year progresses. As a business, we help individuals and organisations of all sizes to protect themselves against cyber-attack and we are also passionate about helping people develop the skills needed to embed cyber security into all organisations. Our extensive training package, including an introduction to cyber security, seven modules covering cyber security and information assurance and a Cyber Essentials Assessor course, will give these young people very valuable knowledge and skills that will make them highly employable in any job role.
